OUR MISSION

Reconnecting Connections is dedicated to keeping loved ones within reach. We provide donated iPads, iPhones, and MacBooks to elderly citizens residing in care homes, who, due to the social distancing protocols of COVID-19, do not have the ability to communicate with loved ones.

We will also be donating devices to foster care centers, who do not have the necessary technology for success during remote learning. Upon donation, employees of the care homes and foster homes will teach residents and children how to navigate the new technology. 

​​Following social distancing protocols, we will host a technology drive where any devices can be gifted.

INSPIRATION

Tara Adlparvar & Ava Quail's grandfather, Alidad, along with many other residents at the Redwood Care Center, tested positive for COVID-19. This facility does not have technology for the elderly; therefore, the residents cannot communicate with their loved ones. The kind nurses allowed Tara & Ava to FaceTime with their grandpa using their personal iPhones. Unfortunately, he passed away. If the nurses had not shared their devices with Alidad, Tara & Ava's family would not have been able to say their goodbyes.

We have donated technology to seven different nursing homes. Due to the organization's success, we have expanded our mission to help foster children who are struggling during this pandemic as well.
